I am flying to Ottawa as I write.  There are two races in Gatineau, which is just outside of Ottawa, this weekend.  I will be racing with my Webcor Builders team.  We will go directly to Minnesota on Monday.  The Nature Valley Grand Prix starts on Wed, June 16.  After NVGP, we will travel to Bend, Oregon for the National Championships, June 24 and 27,  and then I will travel to Italy to race the Giro d’Italia, July 2-11, with the USA National Team.  It will be a busy month for me, a lot of traveling and racing… AND I am really excited to get back into things.  I certainly need to start racing again.  I need to get that high end fitness that only racing can bring.  I also need to continue getting my strength back, and I am hoping that this block of racing continues to add to that rebuilding process.  Obviously, my first goals are to stay healthy and be a good teammate.  After that, we will see what God has planned.  Sometimes I feel like I am on these crazy, wild roller coaster journeys.  They always have a little bit of everything… little fun, little adversity, little excitement, sometimes some pain… the full gamut of emotion is usually touched on, but that is all part of the joy in the journey.  As I said, I am excited and motivated to reconnect with the racing scene and start over again and to see what the future brings.
